Gordon Philip, General Manager

Managing Director

Mr. Gordon Philip
Gordon joined the company at its inception in 1984, after 5 years of training and work experience with firms of chartered accountants in London and Cayman. He previously looked after the offshore (captive) insurance management interests of the company, which provided a wealth of experience in the Reinsurance area, before moving into a dedicated Finance / Accounting role. Prior to being promoted to General Manager in mid-2014, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer for a number of years. He holds an MA in business related studies from Aberdeen University, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Seeta Palto, Vice President – Group Insurance Services

Ms. Seeta Paltoo
Seeta joined the company in 2000. She has over 33 years of insurance experience with more than 15 years in a management capacity in Trinidad, Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean Islands and Cayman. She holds a Masters Degree in General Executive Management (MBA); Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (BS) and Professional Insurance Designations-HIA and ALHC. She is currently the Chairperson of the Health Insurance Standing Committee of Cayman Islands Insurance Association and on the Board of Directors of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean.
Judy Campbell, Vice President – Property & Casualty Department

Ms. Judy Campbell
Judy joined the company over 25 years ago, straight out of high school. Having started out as a receptionist, she has worked her way up through the organization. She served as the Operations Manager of the Property and Casualty Department for a number of years, and was appointed Assistant Vice President on March 1, 2011. In this position, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department. The holder of the CII Certificate, Judy is currently furthering her insurance studies.

Operations Manager – Group Insurance Services

Ms. Tania Ramsaran
Tania joined the company over 20 years ago. In her capacity as Operations Manager, Group Insurance Services, she is responsible for ensuring that the operations of Group Insurances Services department run smoothly and efficiently. Tania stays abreast of current industry trends through the completion of multiple training courses and seminars, and self-study and is currently furthering her studies.

Derry joined the company in 2001 having worked in various other insurance organizations here in Cayman. He has had over 16 years experience working in the local insurance industry in Property and Casualty Claims Departments, 9 of which has been with us. He has completed various courses of study with the Chartered Insurance Institute and will be pursuing further studies in the near future to qualify as a Licensed Claims Adjuster.

Frances Patterson-Campbell joined Cayman First in May 2011.
Frances is a pharmacist and prior to joining Cayman First, held management and marketing positions in the pharmaceutical industry in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Frances holds a Master of Arts Degree in Marketing from Birmingham City University (formerly the University of Central England, Birmingham) a Bachelors of Science in Management Studies, from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica and a Diploma in Pharmacy from the University of Technology Jamaica (formerly the College of Arts Science & Technology). She earned the Health Insurance Associate (HIA) and Healthcare Customer Service Associate (HCSA) designations since joining the company.

Paul joined Cayman First in November 2011, with over 35 years’ experience and numerous qualifications in the Automotive Repair Industry. He has held a number of managerial and supervisory positions in three of the most diverse markets: UK, Australia and Cayman. His background is in the Collision repair Industry and he is very well known in the local Automotive fraternity. Paul is a Certified Automotive Appraiser (BCAA) and is currently working towards completing his CII Certification.

Ruth Kibe joined Cayman First in December 2010 after 7 years of work experience with a global audit firm in Kenya and Cayman. Prior to joining the company, she had been involved with financial services audits and more specifically in the captive insurance industry for 4 years having served as an audit senior and Manager in Cayman. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
